It’s the third edition, and we’re not doing it halfway! Sami Landri—the iconic, delightfully chaotic Acadian drag queen and social media star—invites the public for a show bursting with energy. In a festive and completely crazy atmosphere, she will present electrifying artists, each shining in their own way: Xenia Gould, Darling Delight, Érika Suarez, Eboni La’Belle, Rossomodo, Virginie B, and DJ Hermano.
August 13, 8:30 p.m.
Circus and performing arts: a breath of fresh air! Carmagnole fills hearts with hope with its annual Cabaret at the Jardins Gamelin. Hosted by Le Grand Alexandre, many artists will perform their acts: Alexe Miller on aerial straps, Nathan and Fernando in hand-to-hand, Eris D’Eir on the trapeze, Evelyne Laforest on hula hoops, Chloë Williams on the tightrope, and Monsieur Poï in a fire show to close the evening with a joyful, dazzling ritual!
August 20, 8:30 p.m.
True to its mission of offering the public a playful and poetic show in the tradition of the DADA movement, Phénomena is coming back in full force. Mathieu Hérard and Raphaëlle Renucci, intrepid dancers with infectious humor, will host this flamboyant and electric evening and welcome performances by Michael Martini, unclassifiable queer artist; Marie Lambin, visual artist, choreographer, and dancer, and her performer Jean-Benoît Labrecque; Frank Martel, poet and musician; Les Talons Fous, a duo trained in theater and pole dancing, Carmen Sutra, a flamboyant star of the Quebec drag scene, and the duo Les Deux de Pique.
August 27, 6 p.m.
Heat advisory, heat wave guaranteed! As summer draws to a close and the sun tries to set, a scorching heat wave will take over the Jardins Gamelin. Summer seems to still have something to say, and the runway is ready to burn! A kiki ball is a festive, community-based event that originated in queer ballroom culture. It’s a competition where participants compete in different categories ranging from fashion and beauty to performance, all while following a given theme. It’s a celebration of creativity and queer expression.
