What if we explored the great repertoire as if leafing through a book of short stories?
Here, Grieg’s most famous dawn, born in the madness of Peer Gynt; further on, Mozart’s horn, conceived as a playful wink to a mischievous virtuoso; then Elgar’s Nimrod, a secret tribute to a silent friend; and Beethoven, whose four notes changed history.
Rachmaninoff, Wagner, Prokofiev… and in the midst of it all, the inimitable P. D. Q. Bach—the only fictional offspring of a real dynasty, a deliberately offbeat genius and deliciously parodic spirit. In this joyful vein, the OSM invites you to choose two works to complete the program: a tailor-made, playful, interactive concert featuring two exceptional soloists, Catherine Turner and Carter Johnson.
