A guided tour filled with stories

This guided tour of Le Cucitrici: Voices of Montréal’s Italian Seamstresses is an opportunity to discover the exhibition through stories. The activity reveals these women’s experiences of migration, factory work and ties of solidarity formed over time. Visitors will have a chance to talk to three of the seamstresses who will share their stories with the public.

Encounters that bring the exhibition to life

As you visit the exhibition, you’ll get an insight into the seamstresses’ daily life between the 1960s and 1990s. You’ll discover their skill, the challenges they faced, and the pride they took in a job well done. These personal accounts give a deeper meaning to the objects on display, bringing to light experiences that often remain in the shadows.
