Special Double Screening – Mission UMBRA and Mission SKÖLL

On November 24, discover the behind-the-scenes stories of Project Dorothy’s missions through two stratospheric adventures!

Mission UMBRA is a 360° immersive experience that takes you back to the total solar eclipse of April 8, 2024, when the Moon’s shadow swept across the Mégantic region at more than 4,000 km/h.

To capture this extraordinary celestial event, a small Québec-based team of artists, scientists and videographers launched a module named “Dorothy,” equipped with several 360° cameras, all the way into the stratosphere. This technological feat made it possible to capture breathtaking footage of this phenomenon as seen from the edge of space.

Prepare to be amazed by stunning images of our planet from above and of the shadow that envelops us in a shared moment of wonder and introspection. A brief pause from our daily lives, inviting us to reflect on our place in the universe and our relationship with our fragile home: planet Earth.
