This evening features the legendary voice of Shahram Nazeri; Kaykhosro Pournazeri, Grand Master of the Tanbur and a pioneering figure in its revival; as well as acclaimed composer Tahmoures Pournazeri, whose contemporary compositions and innovative arrangements have connected Iran’s rich musical heritage with a new generation of listeners.For the first time, Shahram Nazeri performs a new body of work composed by Tahmoures Pournazeri, following the remarkable reception of their collaboration “Amoo Nowruz.” Joined by internationally recognized musicians and vocalists, DIYAR brings together contemporary Iranian music, the mystical tradition of the Tanbur, and the vibrant rhythmic energy of Kurdish music in a powerful live experience performed in Persian and Kurdish.A meeting of generations—on stage and in the audience—DIYAR connects memory and discovery, heritage and innovation, past and future.
