With four performers of Cuban descent, EL GAO immerses us in a profound exploration of human emotions and trauma, where dance becomes a powerful vehicle for social transformation and resilience. This work blends contemporary dance, Afro-Cuban folklore, and classical ballet, creating a unique alchemy in which every gesture tells a story.

Projet Pilote by Meggie Cloutier-Hamel

Projet Pilote is a solo piece that explores the symbolism of paper airplanes, navigating between childhood memories and the transition to adulthood. Through the manipulation of these paper airplanes—balancing, taking flight, falling, and launching again—the choreography takes shape and directly influences the movement.

Kapwa by Janelle Hacault

Canadian artist Janelle Hacault, of Filipino and French descent, infuses her rich multidisciplinary experience into Kapwa, a solo piece born from a pilgrimage to the land of her ancestors. Drawing on the Filipino philosophical concept of “Kapwa”—the profound interconnectedness of all beings—the choreographer reimagines an existence free from patriarchy and capitalism.
