Lucid(e) dans le cadre de Lumière sur la relève 2026

Beneath the layers of thoughts and concerns that shape our daily lives lies a more immediate experience of the world—one rooted in sensation, light, texture, and the living. Lucid(e) explores the space where attention precedes interpretation, where perception no longer seeks meaning but simply allows itself to be moved by what is already present.

Through a sequence of imagery inspired by natural phenomena and everyday details, the work invites viewers to rediscover the quiet beauty of their surroundings. Moving reflections, vegetation, water, light, and matter merge into a contemplative visual landscape where filmed footage intertwines with generative processes. The projection becomes an invitation to reconnect with a sense of vitality through our direct sensory relationship with the world.

Designed for the façade of UQAM's Design Pavilion, whose architecture is divided into two distinct volumes, the work plays with the contrasts between sharpness and blur, concept and sensation, abstraction and lived experience. These visual worlds overlap, reverse, and evolve, inviting viewers to reflect on the ways in which thoughts, projections, and expectations shape our experience of the world, while opening the possibility of a more direct and intuitive connection with it.
