The Firebird spreads its legendary wings—a blazing figure of rebirth and enchantment—in a sweeping orchestral fresco ignited by Stravinsky. With Elysium, Samy Moussa invokes Greco-Roman mythology to explore life’s beauty, fragility, and ethical meaning. At the heart of this triptych, Leonidas Kavakos takes on Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto no. 2, revealing its profound lyricism, wounded nobility, and intimate rhythmic poetry. An evening shaped by imaginary forces and vital energies that illuminate our inner world. This concert is also being presented as a "matinee" performance.
