Did you know that the Montreal Roller Derby League (MTLRD) has been a global figure on the derby scene for the past decade? Founded in 2006 by the incredible whirlwind that is Georgia W. Tush, MTLRD has grown to become a leader in Canada, and today includes three local teams, a B team (Les Sexpos de Montréal) and an A team (Les New Skids on The Block).
At the Esplanade Tranquille, the A and B teams face off in a friendly outdoor match, in the spirit of competitiveness and inclusivity that is the hallmark of MTLRD.
Note that alcohol consumption is not permitted on the public square.
