MONTREAL: A CITY OF FESTIVALS
Over the years, the neighbourhood's role as a host for major events has become a unique economic and cultural force for Montreal and its businesses, and an asset to be preserved. With major summer happenings like the Jazz Festival , FrancoFolies , and Just for Laughs , as well as more offbeat events like Divers/Cité and the Montreal High Lights Festival , the Quartier des spectacles testifies to Montreal's cultural vitality and contributes to its international renown.
