A hall dedicated to music “For music alone and for all forms of music”, such is the rationale underlying the design and creation of la Maison symphonique. Inaugurated in 2011, the hall is the home of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.

Designed to showcase any form of acoustic music and any type of group, the new hall hosts not only major symphony orchestras, but also small ensembles, solo performers, instrumentalists, singers, choirs and jazz musicians, along with popular artists.

The exceptional acoustics of the hall are sure to win over the most discriminating music lovers. In such surroundings, they will be able to fully appreciate the virtuosity of great musicians and singers. Performers will have the opportunity to explore a “whole range of nuances” (Kent Nagano, quoted in Le Devoir) and showcase their outstanding talent.

Natural acoustics combine with flawless visibility and warm intimacy to offer an exceptional sensory experience.

By attracting internationally-recognized artists and lovers of great music, this unique hall makes Montréal a destination of choice to experience world-class musical performances.
