Holiday festivities at the Esplanade Tranquille!

Montreal, December 7, 2023 - In a warm and magical setting, Montrealers and visitors alike are invited to experience the magic of the festive season at the Esplanade Tranquille, in the Quartier des Spectacles. From now until 4 January 2024, a host of free, original and fun-filled activities will be on offer for all the family, whether on the skating rink or in the comfort of the the Esplanade Tranquille pavilion, decorated by paper sculptor Pauline Loctin!

COOKIE DECORATING WORKSHOP

9, 10, 16 and 17 December, at 1.30 p.m.
Esplanade Tranquille Pavilion, Le Réfectoire

In collaboration with café La Chouette, young and old are invited to personalise delicious biscuits using a variety of colourful decorations.

DOES SANTA CLAUS SKATE?

December 16 and 24 at 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.

Santa Claus will be visiting the Esplanade Tranquille to put on his skates and greet skating fans, accompanied by one of his faithful elves.

STORIES FOR CHILDREN

23, 29 December and 4 January at 11 a.m., 11.45 a.m., 1 p.m. and 1.45 p.m.

Families are invited to travel through tales from Quebec, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama and West Africa. Camille, Miss Winnie J and Saulo will take turns telling them fascinating stories.

ENHARMONIQUE DE MONTRÉAL CHOIR

December 23 and 28 at 5, 6 and 7 p.m.
Around the staking rink of the Esplanade Tranquille

This choir of eight singers will bring their touch of magic with a repertoire of classic holiday songs.

PATINS PATINES - SPECIAL 31

31 December from 7.30 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Esplanade Tranquille skating rink

DJs Nana Zen and DJ Kelly invite the public to celebrate the arrival of the New Year to the rhythms of Afro-Caribbean sounds, upbeat Brazilian tunes and classics from the 90s and 2000s. A festive evening on skates not to be missed!

SCREENING OF HOLIDAY SHORTS

December 28 and January 3 at 5 p.m.
Esplanade Tranquille pavilion, Le Grand salon

Young and old alike will be swept away by enchanting stories and dazzling animation in short films from the National Film Board of Canada (NFB). On 28 December, the theme will be winter, and on 3 January, the environment.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Skating rink open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and until 11 p.m. Thursday to Saturday.
