Lecture — Religious Heritage Days

The lecture will be given by Norman Robert-Bois, who holds a Master of Divinity degree. With more than twenty years of experience in television production with Canal+, Astral Media, and Quebecor, he also has experience in musical theatre, opera, and teaching with Quebec’s Ministry of Education.

Active in pastoral care, practical theology, and the creation of spiritual content, he is interested in the connections between spirituality, communication, and inclusion. In 2025, he coordinated the “Resonance” conference, devoted to spirituality in a secular world, and participates in the Roger Snelling Clinic V.02 project on end-of-life care and medical assistance in dying for 2ELGBTQI+ people.

Illustrated and accompanied on the organ by Dr. Alexandra Fol, Music Director at St James United Church, the lecture will offer an immersive exploration of the history and evolution of the United Church of Canada. Music will provide a way to explore religious heritage through musical traditions, collective narratives, and the living memory of communities.

Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. for a self-guided visit of the church, its architecture, and its organ. The lecture will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m.

This event is presented as part of Religious Heritage Days, coordinated by the Quebec Religious Heritage Council.
