Influenced by a pair of legends in John Coltrane and Sonny Rollins and considered one of Canada’s finest saxophonists, André Leroux has played with the Vic Vogel Big Band and the François Bourassa Ensemble and alongside Jean-Pierre Zanella and James Gelfand, among others. Also impressive on clarinet and flute, he explores jazz as well as classical, new music and pop traditions. He returns to L’Astral with his raw, explosive sound and a new album released in spring.
