Kinderkino is back this fall with two entertaining family films with plenty of adventure for the kids.

October 25
Touchez pas à Mississippi

Holidays at long last! Ten-year-old Emma visits her grandma Dolly in the country. Not long after she arrives she learns that a mare named Mississippi is supposed to be sold to the butchers soon. Surprisingly, Dolly scrounges up enough money to buy Emma the horse. Then, however, Mississippi’s former owner employs underhanded tricks in an attempt to get the horse back. Emma and her friends need to come up with some quick-witted ideas to outsmart the scoundrel. Detlev Buck successfully captures the holiday mood and employs an array of witty directorial gags in his adaptation of Cornelia Funke’s charming children’s novel.

The story of the fairy-tale friendship between a sensitive 6-year-old boy and an orphaned dog named Sergeant Pepper who band together to fight for the inheritance left to Pepper by his multi-millionaire master.
