Stroboscopica was formed in 2010 by an eclectic bunch of musicians hailing from Montreal. Their funky/jazzy/rock instrumental music was kindled by composers such as Jean-Pierre Mirouze's “Sexopolis” for the film “Le Mariage Collectif ” and Maurice Jarre's psychedelic rock music in the sci-fi film starring Jane Fonda and based on Jean-Claude Forest's Barbarella comics.

After gigging these obscure covers in legendary Montreal bars, the band began writing material in the cinematic music genre and expanded into spy and suspense. This led to Stroboscopica`s original music score for The Chaperone. The film is a captivating story in 3D animation and was highlighted at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), SunDance and Cannes Film Festival in 2016.

Stroboscopica is GW Brazier (bass), Iain Booth (guitar/guitar synth), Janet Lumb (saxes), Jared Matthews (keyboards) and Artsy Thinner (drums). Stroboscopica is continuing to write new material and is looking forward to bringing their action-packed brand of cinematic musical musings to a venue near you.
