MOSHEN NAMJOO LIVE IN MONTREAL

Information on the activity

Dates to come

Mohsen Namjoo is an Iranian musician, singer, songwriter and music scholar who defies and redefines expectations of Persian musical styles. Based in New York, Namjoo’s signature style blends classical poetry and instruments with modern Persian and Western themes to produce performances unlike any other.
The same band that just finished this very successful tour will now visit Montreal, playing a combination of old favorites and some of his latest songs

Hailed as the “Bob Dylan of Iran” by New York Times, Namjoo is one of the great names of the Persian music world. He has produced over 100 songs in albums such as Toranj, Alaki, Useless Kisses, Trust the Tangerine Peel, Personal Cipher and more. His academic background other than music and theater studies, includes many fellowships at major universities such as Stanford and Brown.

Namjoo will be in Montreal on Jan 27th with two other well-known musicians, Yahya Alkhansas on drums and Sean Matthew Conly on bass.
