Montreal, March 13, 2020 - The Quartier des Spectacles Partnership is closely and continuously monitoring the evolving situation surrounding the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

As you know, indoor events and gatherings of more than 250 people have been suspended at the request of the government of Quebec. All other events, both indoor and outdoor, will continue for the time being. This exceptional global situation is of particular concern to Quebec’s cultural industry, which will be significantly impacted.

The Quartier des Spectacles Partnership extends its solidarity and support to each of its members and partners, and to the Quartier’s performance venues, events and festivals. The Partnership will closely monitor the direct and indirect economic impacts of the COVID-19 crisis on venue operators in the Quartier and other stakeholders in the cultural industry.

About the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership

Founded in 2003, the Partnership is a non-profit organization with more than 85 members active in the district. It is responsible for animating the Quartier des Spectacles by programming cultural activities, managing and animating public spaces, providing distinctive illumination and promoting the Quartier as a must-visit cultural destination. The Partnership is supported by the Ville de Montréal.
