Esplanade de la Place des Arts

The Esplanade is a vast outdoor space that connects all of Place des Arts’ show venues. It’s an immense public gathering space at the heart of the Quartier des spectacles. It hosts Montréal’s biggest festivals, cultural activities and popular events year-round: the Festival international de Jazz de Montréal, Les Francofolies, Just for Laughs, Montréal en lumière, and the Grand Marché de Noël at Place des Arts. With millions of visitors each year, the Esplanade also hosts art works and multimedia installations during various cultural events.
