Evenko

Founded in 1977 under the leadership of Alain Simard, André Ménard and Denyse McCann, Équipe Spectra contributes to the development and influence of Montreal’s cultural scene, both nationally and worldwide. In addition to instigating major popular events such as the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, founded in 1980, the Francos de Montréal, created in 1989, and MONTREAL EN LUMIÈRE, launched in 2000, Équipe Spectra and its sister company Evenko also operate several venues in the Quartier des Spectacles, namely MTELUS, M2, and Studio TD. The company’s headquarters, located in the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles, is a unique cultural complex that also houses a performance hall and a jazz resource center and cinematheque.
