Stupefaction in Montreal ! Several eyewitnesses have spoken of strange sightings near the banks of the Jacques Cartier Bridge and even in the Quartier des spectacles. Some say they’ve seen glowing embers like eyes burning in the night sky. It’s hard to ignore these troubling accounts when you know the historical basis for these spooky phenomena. A group of history researchers has, in fact, revealed where these strange sightings have come from. For the sake of transparency the historians have publicly acknowledged the existence of a terrible nighttime creature for the first time ever. It was while they were researching the history of the Craig pumping station, more commonly known as “The little house under the Jacques Cartier Bridge” that they discovered written accounts of this evil entity that dwells in the riverbed of the St. Lawrence. They think that it’s through this “little house” that it used to emerge from its underwater den to wreak terror and chaos upon the city. Has it been responsible for all the calamities that have befallen Montréal over the course of its history? One thing they know for sure is that this creature was stirred from a deep slumber on May 17, 2017, during the inauguration of the lighting of the Jacques Cartier Bridge. For the researchers it was probably roused from its sleep by the positive energy that the crowd was emanating. Ever since, the bridge’s pulsing lights have been slowly restoring its strength. This powerful force that is gaining momentum makes us believe that it will be at its peak for Halloween. It is feared that the TROUBLE-FÊTE will summon its evil power to stop all this positive energy. Our concern is that an apocalypse where the living and dead meet on the streets is soon to become a reality. Some people believe that only sweet souls of children can banish the creature to where it came from. But, for how long? THE LEGEND OF THE TROUBLE-FÊTE A Halloween tale loosely based on Montréal’s history
