Notice to residents and workers in Quartier des Spectacles: OUMF

From September 5 to 8, 2018

A true celebration of musical and artistic discovery, OUMF has carved out a choice in the large family of Montreal festivals and is more than ever THE festival of the cultural re-entry of student in Montreal.

Festival-goers will be entitled to four days of activities in musical, humorous, artistic, sporting and playfulness, transforming the Quartier Latin into a huge block party where the vast majority of activities will be free and accessible to all.

STREET CLOSINGS

In order to proceed with the development/layout of the site, the smoot running of operations, and provide festival-goers with a festive and safe experience, automobile/vehicular traffic will have to be interrupted on certain streets from September 5 to September 9.

  • St-Denis Street ( between Sherbrooke and de Maisonneuve)
  • Emery Street ( between Sanguinet and St Denis )
  • Joly Avenue South ( between Ontario and Emery )

  • De Maisonneuve Boul. ( between Berri and Sanguinet )

  • Sanguinet Street ( between Ontario and the entrance to the St-Denis Theater parking lot )

SETUP AND TEARDOWN

Setup will take place from September 5 at 7 p.m. to September 6 at 4 p.m.

Teardown will take place from September 8 at 11h30 p.m. to September 9 at 5 p.m.

SOUND CHECKS

In order to present high-quality shows, the team will perform sound checks:

  • From September 6 to September 8 from 9 am to 4 pm

OUTDOOR SITE SCHEDULE

Activities will be held between September 8 to September 4 from 4 p.m. to 11h30 p.m.

To ensure a safe environment for all and to respect obligations related to public gatherings, certain rules must be followed on the outdoor site during event hours.

When you arrive, our hospitality and security staff will ask you to open your bags to check the contents. We are counting on your cooperation to ensure that everyone has a pleasant and safe experience.
