Notice to residents and workers in Quartier des Spectacles: LE GRAND SPECTACLE DE LA FÊTE NATIONALE

On June 23rd, le Grand spectacle will be presenting the evolution of music in Quebec from the first nations until today while putting forward popular artists from Quebec. The show will be hosted for a second year by the dynamic and talented Guillaume-Lemay-Thivierge, surrounded by Claude Dubois, Michel Rivard, Brigitte Boisjoli, Vincent Vallières, Marie-Josée Lord, Klô Pelgag, Le Vent du Nord, Jean-Marc Couture, Martha Wainwright, Hubert Lenoir, Kim Richardson et Seba & Horg.

STREET CLOSINGS

In order to proceed with the development/layout of the site, the smoot running of operations, and provide festival-goers with a festive and safe experience, automobile/vehicular traffic will have to be interrupted on certain streets:

From Wednesday, June 20 to Saturday, June 23, the following streets will be closed.

  • Balmoral Street in continuity with the closures planned for the International Jazz Festival
  • On June 23, from 5 p.m. to midnight, the de Maisonneuve Boulevard between Jeanne-Mance and Saint-Urbain

SETUP AND TEARDOWN

Setup will take place on:

  • June 20 from 8 a.m. to midnight
  • June 21 from 8 a.m. to midnight
  • June 22 from 8 a.m. to midnight
  • June 23 from midnight to 4 a.m.

Teardown will take place on:

  • June 24 from midnight to 4 a.m.

SOUND CHECKS

In order to present high-quality shows, the team will perform sound checks on:

  • June 22 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • June 23 from 11 a.m. to 5 h 30 p.m.

OUTDOOR SITE SCHEDULE

Activities will be held on:

  • June 23 from 1 p.m. to midnight

SITE RULES

To ensure a safe environment for all and to respect obligations related to public gatherings, certain rules must be followed on the outdoor site during event hours.

We are counting on your cooperation to ensure that everyone has a pleasant and safe experience.
