APPEL DE PROJETS | RÉSIDENCE DE CRÉATION ET DIFFUSION D'UN SPECTACLE EN ARTS DE RUE

Winner

< Back to competitions and call for proposals

Following the call for proposals issued last December, Toxique Trottoir has been selected to develop and present its project in the Quartier des Spectacles. In late summer 2023, the public will get the chance to see the piece, which is going to be very green!

The Quartier des Spectacles Partnership, Conseil des arts de Montréal, the National Theatre School of Canada and the Regroupement des arts de rue du Québec have joined forces for a third consecutive year to support the creation residency and the diffusion of an original production to be presented in Place de la Paix. This mobilization of partners from the Montreal artistic community aims to recognize, enrich and participate in the development of the practice of street arts.

A COMPANY WITH DEEP ROOTS IN STREET ARTS

Street theater company founded in 2004, Toxique Trottoir creates shows to bond people interculturally, and intergenerationally, as the cosmopolitan public of the city. Deeply convinced that social and artistic matters can meet in exceptional projects, our creations are festive invitations to talk about contemporary challenges. The company brings the artists, the public and public spaces together to encourage encounters and unusual dialogues. A meeting between theater, clown and poetry that changes the rapport to daily life, the city and to representation.
