The Nuit Gourmande
February 22, 6 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Over a hundred addresses across the city

This is the perfect opportunity to explore the incredible range and depth of Montreal cuisine! Bakeries, bars, pastry shops and restaurants will extend their business hours to serve up unique culinary experiences.

In the Quartier des Spectacles, Club Pelicano, Le Mal Nécessaire and Juliette et Chocolat (in the Quartier Latin) are just a few of the establishments that will have a few surprises in store (some free, some at a cost) for those who venture in. And be sure to make a stop at the Gourmet Village, just in front of L’Astral to taste hot chocolate prepared by some of the best pastry and chocolate makers in Montreal.

LA NUIT BLANCHE VERTE | February 29

As the festival’s feature event, the Nuit Blanche Verte lineup includes a wide range of free, night-time activities to meet every taste. This special evening goes by fast, so plan in advance if you don’t want to risk getting stuck figuring out where to start on the big night!

Bouge Aniway
From 9 p.m. to Midnight
Édifice Wilder - Espace Danse

Dance buffs, don’t miss the Bouge Anyway evening activity. It will bring together 12 contemporary and urban dancers—six of whom will be selected on-site!—to compete in a friendly dance-off with the audience serving as judges. Creativity gets top marks!

TokiMonsta | Whipped Cream
From 23 p.m. to 1 : 30 a.m.
Place des Festivals

Place des Festivals will transform into a huge dance floor! Two high-profile DJs, American Tokimonsta and Canadian Whipped Cream, will have you strutting your stuff with their electronic music selections, mixed with a little hip-hop and R&B.

Bio/Hazard : family art workshop and karaoke distorsion
From 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Centre des arts actuels Skol in the Belgo

Get your whole family together and join in the fun. This evening event starts with a creation workshop on the theme of biohazards, with participants invited to fashion mutant hats out of recycled materials. Then the party really kicks off with a karaoke night where singers can transform their voice using a wide range of distortion effects to sound like a robot, or maybe an alien! The event is rounded out by an exhibition from Aïda Vosoughi.

Total Crap
From 6 : 30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Club Soda

Club Soda will be the place to catch the creators of Total Crap, Simon Lacroix and Pascal Pilote, as they present the highlights (or lowlights?) from recent editions of this unique event, which features some of the worst excerpts from films and TV movies. The worse it is, the more you laugh!

La nuit blanche pour voir la vie en vert
From 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Centre for Sustainable Development

Take advantage of the Nuit Blanche to add a little green to your life! Enjoy Italian photographer Nicolo Filippo Rosso’s exhibition Forgotten in the Dust, and view aerial shots of our beautiful blue planet. Next, the event starts hopping to the electronic music of Cosmovision.

LUMINOUS WORKS AT THE OUTDOOR SITE

Whatever your plans for enjoying the festival, simply meandering through the outdoor site always makes for a fun activity. Enjoy the play areas like the RBC Sports zone, take in the spectacular view from the top of the Ferris wheel, or let yourself be dazzled by the luminous, interactive works of local artists.

Habitat
A work by Caroline Robert and Vincent Morisset from digital studio AATOAA
Promenade des Artistes

This light installation represents a miniature universe where plants, animals and humans coexist. The diorama features a house that travels through landscapes and time, wondering what type of home it could be in each world. This work of art leaves visitors charmed and better for the experience.

Faux-Semblants
by graduating students in the UQAM communications program
Promenade des Artistes

At a time when it’s getting harder and harder to tell truth from fiction, the three works that make up this project deliver a one-of-a-kind interactive experience that addresses the issue of “fake news.”

Cascades
By Collectif Blackbox
Chemin de la reine

This group of seven creators is back in the Quartier des Spectacles to explore a brand-new encounter with the public in Cascades, a prototype presented as a preview. The interactive installation is inspired by the sounds of the rainstick, a musical instrument, enhanced with lighting and audio effects.
