The City of Montreal is launching a design competition to develop permanent street equipment elements such as anchoring, support and crowd control systems.
This equipment, to be offered to festival promoters, will help preserve festival sites – principally in the Quartier des spectacles – and prevent their deterioration.
Stage 1
Request for submissions, for the pre-selection of 5 finalists
Submission deadline:
June 25, 2009, 12 noon
Stage 2
Funded concept development for the 5 finalists, for the selection of a winner
Proposal deadline:
October 5, 2009, 12 noon
Among other members, the jury will include Ruedi Baur, creator of the visual identity of the Quartier des spectacles and artistic director of the Quartier des spectacles Lighting Plan currently being implemented by the Partnership.
