With its many performance venues and show bars, the Quartier des Spectacles has plenty of ways to celebrate the start of 2015. Here are 10 ideas for a great New Year’s experience. Ready, set, party!

La Veillée de l’avant-veille

December 30, 8:30 p.m. Club Soda

Before officially kicking off the NYE festivities, progressive folk band Le Vent du Nord, with Michel Bordeleau, a string quartet and “calleur-gigueur” Jean-François Berthiaume will have Club Soda hopping for this 18^th annual pre-New Year’s party. Also featuring the band Hommage aux Aînés, from Lanaudière.

L’Escalier New Year’s Eve Party

New Year’s Eve celebrations at this cozy Sainte-Catherine St. bar will have an Irish accent this year thanks to Belfast Andi, as well as Gypsy and bluegrass sounds from Swift Years.

Escapade NYE 2015

Calls itself one of Montreal’s most glamourous New Year’s parties. Théâtre Telus will become a massive dance floor, hosting a party sure to be chic and wild in equal measures.

December 31, 10 p.m. Society for Arts and Technology (SAT)

The SAT and Satosphère dance floors are sure to be packed for this evening of electronica. Harvard Bass, Bordello, Kyle Kalma and Prison Garde, among others, will provide the beats.

Countdown Party

December 31, 10 p.m. Métropolis

To ring in the New Year, Métropolis will become a massive nightclub. Twenty DJs will spin everything from R&B and house to electronica and hip-hop. On the giant screen: the traditional countdown, live from Times Square.
