Since their debut in 2009, Thus Owls—Swedish singer Erika Angell and guitarist Simon Angell (Patrick Watson)—have won over both critics and fans. Dark-hued and cinematic, their fascinating fusion of ambience and rock unveils a world where fragility and intensity hold equal sway. Back after their three concerts at the MAC last summer, the duo unfurls the colours of their 3rd album, Turning Rocks, with a sublime first single evoking Kate Bush in its weightlessness. Very promising.
