With every visit, the venerable Oliver Jones delights in offering us a magisterial demonstration of piano artistry. After the rare privilege of his solo concert at Cinquième Salle last summer, this living legend of jazz celebrates his 80th birthday with a gift for us, a superb soirée at Théâtre Maisonneuve. And as the cherry on top, the kid from Saint-Henri will be accompanied by some of his best musician friends: Lorraine Desmarais, Ranee Lee, Josée Aidans and Daniel Clarke Bouchard.
