Spanish performer Ana Alcaide is intriguing from the start. Coming onto stage with her nickelharpa, a Swedish medieval instrument from the same family as the vielle, she arouses curiosity. But with gentle melodies from multiple origins escaping her instrument, combined with her natural voice, she soon seduces her audiences, leading them to contemplation while sometimes taking side roads close to rock, giving the impression of a stroll at dusk in the history-filled streets of her home town, Toledo.
