From April 11 to June 1, 2014, audiences will have an opportunity to see seven original works inspired by the films of Norman McLaren, projected onto the façades of buildings in Montreal’s Quartier des Spectacles. Montreal creators Kid Koala (in collaboration with Hololabs) and Theodore Ushev (with Iregular and Daily tous les jours) will celebrate the inventiveness and genius of the great filmmaker with McLaren Wall to Wall, an initiative of the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) and the Quartier des Spectacles. Their original interactive creations will be joined by the four films selected following an international call for projects launched last December, forming an unforgettable and playful pathway that will light up the night in downtown Montreal, in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Canada’s most famous animation filmmaker.
