LEÇON DE CINÉMA: PASCALE BUSSIÈRES

Information on the activity

February 26, 2016 | 19 H 30

With more than 30 feature films to her credit, Pascale Bussières is one of Quebec’s busiest film actresses. Showing immense talent from her very first role, in Sonatine, when she was still in her teens, she has remained an inspiration for filmmakers from Quebec and around the world. Some of her performances are true landmarks in Quebec cinema, such as those in Eldorado, Ma vie en cinémascope, La turbulence des fluides and Marécages. She captures light divinely, and her mysterious quality makes her endlessly fascinating and gives uncommon depth to her characters. It is surely that mysteriousness that has led international directors like Guy Maddin, Pascal Bonitzer, Patricia Rozema and Catherine Corsini to cast her in their films. This unique and accomplished actress, a woman of remarkable intelligence and generosity, will join us to explore her singular career, which has made her one of our cinema’s biggest stars.

Hosted by Marie-Louise Arsenault
