Born in Quebec City, Carole Baillargeon divides her time between Deschambault and Quebec City. She completed her doctoral studies in the Study and Practice of Arts at the Université du Québec à Montréal, a Master’s in Fine Arts and a Bachelor’s in Scenography at Concordia University in Montreal. In 2000, she was awarded the Prix du Rayonnement international by the Conseil de la culture des régions de Québec et Chaudière-Appalaches and in 1993, first prize at the Biennale Découvertes. She has received support from the Conseil des arts et lettres du Québec and the Canada Council for the Arts for her creative work, her research and her travels. Her work has been presented in thirty solo exhibitions and over one hundred group exhibitions in Canada and abroad.
