Critically acclaimed trumpetist Jens Lindemann charms audiences the world over with his 24 karat gold-plated trumpet. The Festival has invited this renowned musician for two consecutive evenings of varied programming, a unique and rare privilege according to Jens.

Friday, May 16th, he will perform with his ensemble Brassfire as part of the TD Jazz Series. He will be joined by Wycliffe Gordon, one of the best trombonists on the Jazz scene today, percussionist Thomas Lang, whose technique is admired by progressive rock enthusiasts, and pianist-composer Kristian Alexandrov, four unique and renowned artists together on stage for a memorable evening!
Saturday,May 17th, enjoy the distinct sound of the trumpet and the trombone in a more classical program with strings, soprano Shannon Mercer and, for the first time at the Festival, the magnificent Casavant organ of St. George’s Church in an eclectic presentation of works by Vivaldi, Händel, Gershwin, Fauré, Mozart, Fats Waller and more.
