EWA MONIKA ZEBROWSKI | END OF BEAUTY

Information on the activity

April 5, 2014 to May 17, 2014

The exhibition will present a series of photographs that capture light in a very poetic manner, addressing themes of time, memory and solitude.

A heavy silence pervades the series of contemplative photographs in which the heat and light of summer have a tangible, almost oppressive weight. Like fragments, the photographs are articulated through a narration of daily life where time seems to be frozen. In Zebrowski ‘s work, everyday elements seem somehow timeless, as if they were bound to a common fate of vulnerability.

Having collaborated with writers and poets in the past, the photographic work of Ewa Monika Zebrowski is inspired by literature. Thus, the artist creates a delicate and organic narrative that leaves the imagination free to arrange and reconstruct the moments that are shared. Zebrowski captures those in between instants where imperfections and photographic blur act as a threshold, an entrance to fleeting moments of intimacy. END OF BEAUTY unveils the poetic archives of a selective and fragmented memory and the limited edition artist’s book part of this rapport with the intimate.
