PIANO 2014 - FINAL 2 / CONCOURS MUSICAL INTERNATIONAL DE MONTRÉAL

Discover the world’s finest young pianists at the Montreal International Musical Competition. From May 26 to June 6, 24 candidates, most of them in their twenties, showcase their talent and vie for First Prize at the prestigious competition. Hear them in the Final Round on June 3 and 4 and at the Gala Concert on June 6, with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal led by Maestro Giancarlo Guerrero, who makes his Montreal debut.

The MIMC plays a key role in the finest tradition of classical concert music. The Competition seeks to discover and support young singers, violinists, and pianists who have distinguished themselves as masters of their art. Since the very first edition, dedicated to voice, in 2002, 2,300 candidates have applied to take part in the various editions. To the great delight of music lovers, 350 of them were given the opportunity to perform in Montreal.
