The exhibition-installation, En frappant le fond de l’eau avec un bâton, on peut faire du feu sur l’eau, is the result of a hacktivist research-creation process that explores the possibilities of digital art from queer and ecological perspectives. The work invites us to take a deep breath and imagine a world beyond binaries and oppressive guilt where everything mixes together, hybridizes, and transforms. To a melancholic soundtrack composed by the artist, robots become compassionate and the biological fuses with the technological. Every hour, a ChatGPT robot-poet apologizes to a rock for the environmental crisis by dedicating a poem to it, while a second robot invites viewers to make it cry so it can water a plant.
