On one hand, a world in which people are forced to wear paper bags on their heads; on the other, a mythical place where everything is permissible. And in the middle, the fading love of a couple as strange physical mutations take place in the city, forcing some to become “monstrous.” Like last year's "Mars Express," "Schirkoa" is a futuristic dystopia that is certainly topical (in terms of the polarization of ideas plaguing our societies). An independent animated film that surprises more than ever, created entirely on video game engines and featuring the voices of Gaspar Noé, Asia Argento and Lav Diaz.
