ANANTYA

ANANTYA, a journey which never ends, is a sacred concept.

The musical backdrop creates a mood or atmosphere for the dance that will color how the audience sees and experiences it. The rhythm, or pattern of beats in the music, the moods of the Raga can influence the speed, posture and phrasing of the movements.

Both artistic disciplines are structured in and through time. Actually, this closeness is what makes it possible to see dance as an explanation for music, and vice versa. They also have many characteristics in common: tempo, rhythm, meter, meaning, expression, etc. When we combine music and dance, the two hemispheres of our brain “talk” to each other, creating new neural connections.
