Sur trois façades du Quartier des spectacles, La rentrée de la relève propose un parcours de six vidéoprojections pour découvrir les univers de six groupes des créatrices et créateurs de la relève artistique et créative montréalaise et québécoise en production numérique. Laissez-vous transporter dans leurs univers et leurs récits tous plus originaux les uns que les autres.

Postcards by Antoine Grenier and Henri Carreau

Postcards is a contemplative projection that uses the building's facade to open windows onto landscapes corresponding to moments and facets of our lives. It features two characters seeking reconnection with themselves and their past experiences through a universe as gentle as their fondest memories.

The work is inspired by the past of the artists who created it and reflects the dreamers and larger-than-life individuals who are in the background of their lives as emerging artists.

Short Circuit by Émile Désilets

Short Circuit explores the vicious cycle created by digital technologies. The omnipresence and increasing accessibility of the Internet have plunged our society into a collective hypnosis, making the boundary between the real and virtual worlds increasingly blurred. This film aims to encourage viewers to redefine their relationship with digital technology.

A.I. Architect by FIAT LVX

This project features original art work which explores new methods of generative AI imagery and video animation, transforming the UQAM Président-Kennedy Pavilion. Technological landscapes and diverse aesthetic styles will morph and change, enhancing the building's structure with dynamic, architecturally-integrated video projections.

All Is Chaos In The Best Of Worlds by Hugo Mazo

All Is Chaos In The Best Of Worlds is a visual and poetic immersion into the world of clubbers.

Adapted from a multidisciplinary show, the piece is based on improvised performances by dancers. The images are edited, mixed, and repeated to form a well-ordered chaos. It is a trip - inside a very personal dream, yet shared by many. It is where we meet, get together, have fun, isolate, and heal. All Is Chaos In The Best Of Worlds is a visual exploration of the common experience of clubbing and dancing, offered to the general public in the heart of Montreal.

Tire-toi une bûche by Chaimae Kouldi and Tamara Manny-D'Astous

Tire-toi une bûche est une projection artistique qui met en lumière la place des femmes dans nos industries créatives. Le projet s’inspire directement de douze entrevues avec des créatives d’ici, racontant leurs expériences et leurs réalités. Les illustrations ainsi que le mouvement mettent en images les différents récits de ces femmes et se glissent avec couleur et impact au cœur du carrefour artistique qu’est le Quartier des spectacles.

Chaimae Khouldi et Tamara Manny-D’Astous mettent en image et en mouvement ces histoires sur l’emblématique surface du pavillon Président-Kennedy, contribuant à enrichir davantage le bassin culturel du quartier en voulant offrir une expérience contemplative qui captivera tous ceux qui se laisseront emporter par sa magie.
