SONY WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS 2024

For the first time in Montreal, the "Sony World Photography Awards 2024" (18th edition) exhibition celebrates the images and stories that have resonated with global audiences over the past year.

The Awards are a major annual moment recognizing the best photography in the world today. Considered one of the most prestigious photographic awards programs in the world and with an unparalleled reach, the "Sony World Photography Awards 2024" received more than 395,000 entries from over 220 countries and territories.

Comprising a range of competitions and programs created to encompass a broad span of international photographers, the Awards honors the photography shaping our visual language. From exceptional series of works with an original approach to narrative (professional competition), to striking single imagery (open competition), and the next generation of photographers (student and youth competitions), the rewarded works bring timely stories to the fore.

The curatorial approach for this year underscores photography power to document, represent and spotlight the richness of our collective experience.
