Vestiges, a creative marriage of dance and fashion, reflects human resilience in the face of adversity in a post-apocalyptic world. As the stage transforms into devastated territory, the movements of the two performers, at once disjointed, fluid and jerky, reflect palpable tension and continual adaptation. Through this fallen universe, moments of hope, tenderness and complicity emerge to find light in a shadowy world.

In this atmosphere of mystery and reconstruction, the performers move with resilience and strength, but also with vulnerability and uncertainty. Their bodies, sometimes fusional, sometimes defensive, express the struggle for survival and the complexity of human relationships in a fallen world.

Vestiges is a vibrant collaboration with Quebec designer Guillaum Chaigne. Through dance and fashion, Vestiges aims to take audiences on an emotional and sensory journey, supported by Guillaum Chaigne’s high-end streetwear aesthetic.

Fascinated by the exploration of the body in all its viscerality, fluidity and disarticulation, Pauline Gervais creates original scenic worlds where several states of being cohabit. The Montreal-based company’s movement signature is an eclectic blend of fluidity, articulation and precision. Through movement, Pauline Gervais stages journeys into new worlds and atmospheres.
