LOST FOOD TABLE
Information on the activity
Free !
For this year’s Nuit blanche, the Monument-National will transform itself into a magical place where lost culinary memories come back to life. An unusual banquet will open its doors to all for an astonishing participatory sensory experience. This timeless ephemeral space will be dedicated to rediscovering flavours of the past: from childhood dishes prepared by grandmothers to the vanished delights of our once-favourite restaurants.
The event will unfold around a long table, providing visitors the opportunity to wander, sit, and immerse themselves in nearly a hundred testimonials and stories of lost dishes. Navigating through this mysterious and vibrant theatrical space, performers will interact with visitors, and share touching stories and surprises throughout the evening.
Story collectors will also be present to archive your testimonials and memories in video, audio, and written form. Collected before and during the event, these captured stories will serve as raw material to fuel the installation and create a captivating auditory and visual journey.
The evening promises to be a celebration where everyone will have the opportunity to add their own story to something greater, turning this unusual banquet into a space where dreams, memories, and culinary fantasies intertwine.
