From January 18 to February 25, 2024.
By bringing together works from the secondary market with those of contemporary creators, this exhibition aims to bridge the gap between two generations of artists, in a dynamic, open-minded approach to the history of art.
The exhibition, by establishing unprecedented aesthetic parallels, brings to light through various correspondences, certain continuities and ruptures that have marked painting over the past 75 years, while also delving into technical and stylistic innovations that were made possible, in part, by the integration of new technologies in painting. Today's artists continue this tradition of innovation, taking advantage of technical and technological advances to enrich their pictorial practice, both figurative and abstract.
Artists on view: Thierry Arcand-Bossé, Marcel Barbeau, Dan Brault, Eveline Boulva, Yves Gaucher, Pierre Gauvreau, Lise Gervais, Jacques Hurtubise, Serge Lemoyne, François Morelli, Jean-Paul Riopelle and François Simard.
- Opening on Thursday, January 18, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
