LE CHANT DE L’ARBRE

Nine tree creatures bring their benevolent presence to the urban landscape, from Sainte-Catherine St. W. to Esplanade Tranquille. Descended from trees, they move slowly as they softly sing waves of greenness and enchantment.
This original creation by Toxique Trottoir brings nature to the city, communicating the quiet power of our boreal forests. Through songs and music, these beings with their trunks and branches join the birds in murmuring tales of moonlit nights. By building an authentic relationship with the audience, "Le chant de l’arbre" invites people of all ages to join a celebration of nature.
The project is presented by the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership, the Conseil des arts de Montréal, the National Theatre School of Canada and the Regroupement des arts de rue du Québec.
