Effet d'entraînement (55 minutes): Beyond the sensationalist discourse too often carried on our relationship with technology, the team behind Effet d’entraînement questions interactions between humans and non-humans. Inspired by large groups of social animals, eight performers move in reaction to one another. Artificial intelligences scan their collective comings and goings, and use multiple algorithms to generate a musical interpretation in real time. This meeting between people and device leads them to explore their points of friction, their process of negotiation and acceptance. In this ever-evolving improvised performance, the creative process is the work itself.
