QUANTUM CHOIR | MICHÈLE PEARSON CLARKE

Quantum Choir (2022) is a four-channel video installation that puts the accent on the procedural dimension involved in any process of imitation, and the therapeutic—even jubilant—nature of repetition. Clarke’s strong apprehension about singing in public is the starting point for a choral piece based on the recognition, vulnerability, and solidarity of other queer masculine women with whom she identifies.
