From October 21 to December 23, 2022. Open from Wednesday to Saturday, from noon to 5:00 p.m.
The exhibition "Sonic Fields of Reflection" focuses on the legacies and potentialities of sound as a carrier of information, histories and experiences in the field of contemporary art. Our exhibition space will be transformed into an experimental research room specially imagined for listening, reading, recording, resting, and meditating on sound. The exhibition will draw attention to community radio practices, oral history projects, discursive approaches such as conversations and interviews, music and oral poetry.
With sound works by/featuring: Ada X (Julia Dyck, Amanda Harvey and Belen Rebecca Arenas), Marilou Craft and Elyze Venne-Deshaies, Hajra Waheed and Reece Cox (Cashmere Radio), Centre CLARK, Jamie Ross, Rouzbeh Shadpey, Prakash Krishnan and two textile installations by Rihab Essayh and Jonathan Schouela.
Over the next two months, we will invite the public to attend round-table discussions with special guests who will be recorded for Artexte's podcast. More information to come, stay tuned!
