A robotics engineer heads to Chamonix to give a presentation. Strangely drawn to the Alpine mountains, he decides to pack it all in and set up camp on the slopes. After a landslide, he discovers some mysterious glimmers inside a cave that end up taking root inside him. Completely in sync with the highly original world of his first feature, Vincent, Thomas Salvador continues his exploration of identity, otherness and bodily metamorphosis through the forces of nature. A serene metaphysical tale tinged with fantasy elements, The Mountain is an ingenious, disorienting inner journey that unfolds against the spectacular backdrop of the snow-covered Alps.
