Yaoundé, Cameroon, November 1996. Dieudonné Afana is a successful Cameroonian comedian known for his sketches where he plays Jean Miché Kankan, a whimsical and truculent character. Despite an international reputation, health problems related to his alcoholism, tensions within his troupe and financial difficulties are seriously undermining the rest of his career. His only hope then lies in the organization of a show in the city of Nkongsamba. Will he be able to defeat his demons and regain success?
